Director, Career Planning
Conversations with college students energize me, change my perspective, and transform my thinking. They open doors to new worlds and possibilities. My position as director of Career Planning gives me the opportunity to engage in these transformative conversations daily. I am a native Ohioan who has been blessed with many opportunities to travel to dozens of countries. My wanderlust has pushed me to develop and grow strengths that I didn’t even know were in me! These experiences have driven me to guide and coach students to develop a life of purpose and meaning. I believe each student has their own “super powers” and I absolutely love being a part of their growth during the time they are at Wooster.
I have devoted my entire adult life to advising 18-22 year-olds. I have worked in a community college, a state university, and two private liberal arts institutions. My heart belongs to the liberal arts and the high impact practices students engage in during their four years. Reflection work with students and writing are two of the practices that energize and motivate me. Collaboration with faculty and staff members also drive the projects I love the best.
I grew up in a family of classically trained musicians and amazing storytellers. I love all genres of music and welcome any chance to listen to live music. Truth be told, I enjoy rock music the best when performed live. If you love good stories too, ask me about having a cup of tea with David Bowie during my days at Oberlin College.

Associate Director, Career Planning
Originally from a small town “next door” to Wooster, Orrville, I was thrilled to come back to my home community in August 2015. I have spent 15+ years in higher education working in career planning, leadership education, and community engagement. My academic background includes a Bachelor in Business Administration from Kent State University and a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University (BGSU). While at BGSU, I found my professional niche at small liberal arts institutions through various internship experiences.
I love The College of Wooster community because we uniquely and holistically prepare students for their short term and long term professional goals while simultaneously supporting their personal development. I am energized by working with college students and challenging them connect their academics and out-of-the-classroom experiences to their future goals in a caring, fun, and supportive environment.
I live here in Wooster with my husband, Jamie, and daughters McKenna and Finnley. I love fitness and teach various group exercise classes on-campus and in the community. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends exploring our vibrant community!

Assistant Director, Career Planning
Throughout my career in education where I’ve taught high school business and adult education, my current position in Career Planning at the College has been my very favorite. I get to work one-on-one with incredibly bright and thoughtful students who inspire me on a regular basis.
On a personal level, I enjoy reading, hiking, bicycling and spending time with my husband, children and granddaughters.

Health Professions Advisor
I am Health Professions Advisor in The Office of Career Planning in APEX. In my role, I advise and support students who are interested in health-related careers as they navigate their Wooster experience. I enjoying working with students as they integrate their interests, strengths, values, and goals, and find it rewarding to work with students both individually and in groups. My other life adventures have included working as a zip line canopy tour guide for two summers, serving as a Biology instructor at several colleges (including Wooster, previous to this role!), hosting an AirBnB out of my home, and traveling – all of which have shaped my own career interests and journey. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, reading, cooking (especially together with my two children), music, and playing nerdy board games.
Administrative Coordinator, Career Planning
I am an Administrative Coordinator in APEX, working primarily with the office of Career Planning. Some of the highlights of my current position include interacting with students, staff, and faculty through booking appointments, planning events, collecting data, and providing administrative support. I have been employed at the College since 2005, and what I love most about Wooster is the strong sense of community across campus. I live in Wooster with my family and enjoy traveling as much as possible.
