The Human Resources Assistant is the face of Human Resources. You will be responsible for answering employee questions and external inquiries, greeting employees and applicants, maintaining our computer system by updating and entering data, setting appointments and arranging meetings, preparing new employee files, collecting employment, tax, and I9 information, and ultimately serving as a point person for all new employee questions.
You will be responsible for data entry and the transactional processes in multiple modules within the Oracle E-Business HRMS Suite, liaising with Payroll, updating pages of the HR website, and handling and processing billing, notifications, mailings, and communication materials for employees, students, and retirees. Additional responsibilities include handling the daily mail and general office needs and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and previous human resources, or related experience (required)
- Detail-oriented, organized mindset
- Computer proficiency with MS Office
- Working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (strongly preferred)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills (required)
- Ability to multi-task, handle sensitive and confidential material, manage a busy phone, and work with all members of a diverse, multicultural community
- Initiative and the ability to prioritize, learn new concepts, and work well in a team environment essential
