Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
Graduate Assistant Primary Responsibilities:
The College of Business is seeking (1) GA / coordinator position to support college deans in their administrative responsibilities for college programs is it relates to ongoing assessment of academic programs and accreditation compliance. The coordinator would assist the deans (20 hours per week) in providing research assistance in the form of investigation and calculations of collected data along with periodic reporting to meet the needs of annual college accreditation requirements and help advance each dean’s programmatic initiatives through internal (faculty) and external outreach and collaboration. The GA / Assessment Coordinator would need to be proficient and knowledgeable in MS Office suite as well as MS Excel in order to qualify as a candidate. Proficiency in additional statistical tools and software applications are also a positive. A GA in the College of Business would also be required to be a recently accepted or current enrolled graduate student within a graduate business program with the college in order to be eligible for the position.
