Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
GA Primary Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, summarize, and analyze data from a variety of sources.
- Design, develop and implement interactive reports and analysis to provide insights and make recommendations.
- Provide benchmarking and assessment outcomes of strategic initiatives.
- Perform basic statistical analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
The Office of Admissions collects a large amount of data regarding applicants, admits, inquiries, event registrations, and much more. We would love to have someone compile this data on a regular/ongoing basis. This data will assist us in making strategic decisions and plans. Strategic decision-making will assist us in increasing enrollment, which contributes to Lander’s financial wellbeing.
