Minimum Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED
• 21 to under 35 years of age as of Saturday, June 24, 2023, unless otherwise exempt by IL State Statute
• United States citizenship
• No felony convictions
• No residency required
• Online applications will only be available through Public Safety Recruitment starting Monday, February 6, 2023 (see below for the online address)
• $35.00 non-refundable application fee to be submitted to Public Safety Recruitment
• Online application and requested documentation deadline is on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 4:00 p.m.
• Mandatory orientation on Saturday, June 24, 2023, arrive by 8:30 a.m. (valid driver’s license or state ID required to sign in)
• Candidates must provide a valid POWER test card dated on or after December 26, 2022
• Candidates must be able to pass the POWER test upon entrance into the police academy
• Mandatory written examination on Saturday, June 24, 2023
