GOODSPEED MUSICALS, a two-time Tony Award-winning LORT theater in East Haddam, CT, seeks a Grant Writer who will generate income/revenue from the foundation and government sectors through research and writing of grants. The Grant Writer will create, manage and maintain grant calendar, create foundation and government grant proposals, and grant reports and contracts. They will identify, research, and strategically cultivate new foundation prospects as well as manage and maintain accurate budget and revenue documents. Qualified candidates must have superb time management skills and ability to meet deadlines, strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience of three years job related fundraising and development work experience, preferably in a fast-paced, non-profit environment and ideally in an arts organization, strong financial skills, exceptional attention to detail and proactive attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to be flexible with assignments and priorities, and must have a good sense of humor.
