We are a home care agency, FirstLight of Akron, looking for compassionate and dependable caregivers (HHA), CNA, STNA, and LPN to provide non-medical home care to our clients in Summit, Stark, Medina, Portage and southern Cuyahoga counties. Home Health Aide responsibilities include:
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Preparing and serving meals
• Help with bathing, grooming and incontinence care
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Shopping, errands and transportation
• Other duties as assigned

For the role of personal caregiver or on-call caregiver, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be able to lift 25+ lbs
- Have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a safe vehicle
- Be willing to work one weekend shift a weekend (this can be as short as 3 hours on Saturday or Sunday)
- Be able to take and pass a drug test and background check
Please note, some clients can only be matched with certain genders as prescribed by legal, federally-recognized identification as part of a bona fide occupational qualification.
Pay starts at $12 an hour with opportunities for performance-based raises after your first 90 days. We also have shifts that pay $14 an hour, special one hour shifts that pay $25 an hour and urgent start shifts that pay $20 an hour– these shifts are available on a limited basis.
