D-BAT Columbus is searching for the right person to join our TEAM as a Baseball/Softball instructor. This position is for week nights and weekends based on availability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Greeting guests & providing them with superb customer service;
-Selling products, services, and memberships.
-Wears proper D-BAT attire at all times for lessons, clinics, camps, etc. to better represent the brand
-Manages and keeps track of schedule and appointments. Is sure to keep proper times available and blocking off which times they are not.
-Must be able to perform proper functions of not just baseball but being athletic (hitting fungos, throwing bp, running, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs without help, and more.
-MUST have a strong knowledge of the game of softball/baseball with prior playing experience. (Coaching or instructing experience preferred.)
-MUST have played or coached baseball/softball at least at the collegiate level. (Experience above the collegiate level is preferred)
-A vast knowledge of the game and being able to apply that in multiple lessons throughout a day with different ages, skill sets, numbers of individuals, and levels of play.
-Understanding and knowledge of assessing Children from ages 6-18 in the game of baseball. Being able to give proper critiques to help boost and strengthen their game.
-Being able to teach and approach kids ages 6-18 and understanding different skill levels to help best fit their needs.
-Being a positive and out-going personality to not only be that person that helps bring in clients but retain them over time.
-Helping get hands dirty with any of the day to day operations within the facility no matter what that may be. (cleaning, helping fix machines, helping parents determine proper products for athletes, and more)
Overall just representing the D-BAT brand in the upmost respect and professionalism possible. Making kids happier and better at the game of our nations past time. Hopefully creating a life time of experiences and knowledge to help them become not only better students of the game but better people.
