Networking opportunities, professional development, and resume building are an added benefit of this program!
The AmeriCorps Ohio College Guides and Career Pathway Coaches Program maintains that all students deserve equal access to educational opportunities. The goal of the College Guides and Pathway Coaches is to ensure that students, especially typically under served students – first generation college going, low-income, and minority – get the information and knowledge they need and deserve to make educated decisions and plans for their future.
As an AmeriCorps initiative, members of the Ohio College Guides and Career Pathway Coaches undergo ample training, and are provided with valuable professional development, networking, and guidance and support with career and graduate study goals. Members serve full-time, or 1700 hours over 11 months and in return, receive a modest living allowance up to $15,100 and an Educational Award, up to $6,345, upon completion of the full-time commitment.
Positions begin on August 9, 2021 and end on June 30, 2022.
For the 2021-2022 academic year, AmeriCorps Members will serve through the Ohio College Guide’s initiative at the following host sites: Cleveland, Ohio (College Now Greater Cleveland).
