PH Environmental Health Specialists are responsible for performing field inspections of licensed retail food establishments (RFEs) and food service operations (FSOs) to enforce the Ohio Uniform Food Safety Code and to protect the health of the public. Work may also involve investigation of complaints, risk assessments, and screening of potential clients.
Possession of a valid State of Ohio certificate as an Environmental Health Specialist-In-Training. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Positions allocated to this classification may require conversational proficiency in a language or languages other than English.
