Implements recreation activities either by providing direct service or by providing supervision of those implementing recreation activities. May assist in the planning and promotion of an activity/program or be responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of a recreation program. May use a specific skill needed to implement a specialized recreation program. May be responsible for a revenue collection process. Must be willing to work other than normal work hours. Must demonstrate an ability to lead participants in a specific recreation activity. Must be willing to take direction from supervisors and managers. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must follow Department of Recreation rules, regulations, and guidelines, especially those relating to safety, customer service, and finance. May be required to work in the ODJFS licensed childcare program.
