POSITION FUNCTION:
C+R Research is looking for a Native Spanish speaking Online Qualitative Research Associate, to work as a part of a collaborative team and learn to apply myriad digital research tools and approaches that are customized to our clients’ requests. The Online Qualitative Research Associate also assists with conducting and executing online qualitative research projects.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about their cultural background and is comfortable sharing opinions that are grounded on their understanding of the Hispanic/Latino culture and realities. From knowing what kids need to do when mama grabs a chancla, to understanding when we celebrate Christmas and how, and vibing to what it feels like to open a jar of butter or a cookie tin only to find out it has something else (you know what) inside, all the way to knowing how to finish the sentence ‘sana, sana, c…’
If you would be comfortable reading a newspaper in Spanish, or attending a college lecture in Spanish without feeling nervous or needing to grab your phone to translate words and figure out what is being said, then using your Spanish (and English) for this role could be perfect for you.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties:
- Day-to-day completion of assigned online qualitative research project components for both Spanish and English language projects:
- Assist in analytic functions such as reviewing screeners, analyzing respondent profiles and other functions as needed.
- Write discussion guides of varying lengths and depth, with research analyst oversight.
- Assist in programming discussion guides in online qualitative platform.
- Moderation of ad hoc projects, with research analyst oversight.
- Assist in monitoring active research to ensure accuracy and quality (confirming participant information is to spec, provide participation updates for project leads, etc.).
- Assist in analysis and generation of summary reports and research results for ad-hoc projects, with analyst oversight.
- Taking immediate corrective action to keep projects on track and informing the immediate manager of any possible delays or problems.
- Work closely with clients, Analysts, and Operations team on various aspects per project.
- Applying a cultural perspective to the duties and functions stated above, to ensure projects are culturally relevant and with the right cultural tone.
Other Duties:
- Proactively volunteer to provide team support in down time.
- Assist in-person qualitative analysts as time allows. This may include observing and note-taking for in-person qualitative research, report generation for all qualitative research.
- Learn various online qualitative research methods.
- Exhibits standards for quality, professionalism and positivity.
- Special projects as required.
- Keep abreast of industry changes.
- Regular attendance.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 0-2 years supplier-side experience in qualitative research.
- Native language is Spanish. ¡Pero de a deveras!
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. (Without utilization of online tools).
- Deeply immersed in Hispanic and/or Latin cultures.
- Highly organized and exceptional communication skills.
- Resourceful self-starter with an inquisitive mind and a passion for consumer research.
- Enthusiastic, engaged, and positive attitude.
- Ability to juggle numerous concurrent projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (particularly PowerPoint and Excel).
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s in marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, or other related field.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office environment.
